A 26-year-old woman woke up in her apartment to find a construction worker from her building committing indecent acts against her. The suspect, a 32-year-old illegal resident, fled the scene after the victim screamed. Jaffa police detectives located him hiding at a construction site, and he will appear in court today for a remand hearing.

A serious and shocking incident occurred on Monday in Jaffa, when a 26-year-old woman woke up in her home to find a stranger committing indecent acts against her. Ayalon District police officers arrested the suspect, an illegal resident who worked as a construction worker in the building where the complainant resides.
The report reached the police station at noon. The young woman told investigators that she woke up in terror after feeling the suspect touching her in private areas. According to her, the suspect is a construction worker employed at her residential complex on Kurt Tucholsky Street in Jaffa, who would occasionally enter her apartment to handle electrical issues.
Upon realizing what was happening, the woman began to scream in panic. The suspect was startled by her reaction and immediately fled the scene.
Technological search and arrest
Jaffa police detectives called to the scene obtained a precise description of the suspect from the complainant and initiated an extensive search. Using various technological means and investigative actions, the police managed to locate the suspect while he was hiding inside a construction site in the area.
A background check revealed that the suspect is a 32-year-old resident of the territories staying in Israel illegally. He was transferred to the police station for further investigation and will be brought to the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court today for a remand hearing.
