Incident at Rami Levy: Fired employee threatened branch manager
An indictment was filed against a 29-year-old man who, three weeks after being fired from a Rami Levy branch, entered the manager's office with a pork sausage wrapped in a page of Psalms and a kippah, placed a dead crow on her keyboard, and threatened her life.
An indictment was filed at the Magistrate's Court in Hadera against a 29-year-old Jerusalem resident, a former employee of the Rami Levy branch in the city, following allegations that he returned to the store three weeks after his dismissal to threaten the branch manager.
According to the indictment, the defendant entered the manager's office carrying a bag. He threw a pork sausage, wrapped in a page from the Book of Psalms and a kippah, onto the floor, and subsequently placed a dead crow on her computer keyboard.
It is further alleged that during the incident, he threatened the manager, stating: "I will kill you just as I killed this crow." Police were called to the scene, and the suspect was arrested for questioning.
The defendant is charged with making threats. The evidence to be presented during the legal proceedings includes testimonies from the branch manager, the security manager, and responding police officers, as well as the transcript and recording of the call to the 100 emergency center.
Due to the severity of the acts, the prosecution is considering requesting an actual prison sentence. The legal proceedings regarding the case are ongoing.
