Firefighters Extinguish Blaze in Safed: Two Injured Evacuated by Magen David Adom
Firefighting crews from the Galil-Golan station and the 'Elad' aerial squadron contained a fire in the Nof Kinneret neighborhood of Safed. Two people sustained light injuries during the operation on the steep slope and were evacuated by Magen David Adom.

Firefighters gained control today, Wednesday, over a fire that broke out in the Nof Kinneret neighborhood of Safed. Two people sustained light injuries in the incident and were evacuated for medical treatment by Magen David Adom teams.
Numerous crews from the Galil-Golan station participated in the firefighting efforts, supported by aerial assets from the 'Elad' squadron. Firefighters operated under difficult topographical conditions on a steep slope, battling a heavy fuel load of grass and waste. As of the time of publication, the incident is fully contained, and crews are continuing with final extinguishment and site clearance operations.
Incident commander, Rav Reshef Roi Finish, stated:
'We arrived at a complex scene with a real danger of rapid fire spread toward residential homes. Through determined and intensive actions, professional partitioning, and concentrated efforts, the firefighters succeeded in stopping the flames, preventing damage to additional houses, and protecting vehicles parked nearby.'
Fire investigators from the Israel Fire and Rescue Services are investigating the circumstances of the outbreak. The service reiterates to residents the importance of creating buffer zones by clearing grass, dry vegetation, and waste from the perimeter of homes to prevent fire from reaching structures.
