Fire in HaNasi Forest: Suspicion of human-caused ignition
Firefighters discovered smoldering coals at the origin of the blaze. The Fire and Rescue Authority urges the public to refrain from lighting fires in open areas.
The Fire and Rescue Authority spokesperson has released an update regarding the investigation into the fire that broke out earlier today (Tuesday) in the HaNasi Forest.
The statement reads: "During extinguishing and scanning operations carried out by firefighters in the HaNasi Forest, near Derech HaPsalim, a pile of smoldering coals was identified at the point of origin. This finding raises the suspicion that the fire was, in all likelihood, caused by a human-lit fire."
The Fire and Rescue Authority calls on the public to act responsibly, to refrain from lighting fires in open areas and forests, and to strictly adhere to safety regulations. "Together, we will protect nature, property, and human lives, and prevent the next fire."
