On the first day of the new school year, a student at a school in Rahat was brutally attacked by a group of peers who beat him severely, causing injuries. The assault was documented, and the video was subsequently distributed on social media.
According to initial estimates, the attack was an act of retaliation: the victim had previously filmed another person during a separate violent incident. In response, the group targeted him, beat him, and recorded the act.
One of the teachers commented on the situation:
"At school, we hoped to start the year in a calm atmosphere, but this incident is very serious and requires immediate attention. We must stand firmly against such acts and not wait for the situation to worsen. A few months ago, a similar case occurred in Rahat, and we cannot allow this to become a routine phenomenon."
The incident has sparked anger and concern among many city residents, who expressed sharp criticism regarding the rise of violence among teenagers.
"The footage is heartbreaking. This is a serious warning sign that must turn on a red light for parents, schools, and all responsible parties. It is impossible to accept a situation where students attack another student, film the event, and distribute it as if it were a game. We must stop this phenomenon before it leads to more severe events," residents stated.
The police have opened an investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
