Supervising themselves: Yanki Deri has three relatives in the World Zionist Organization that supervises him
Yanki Deri, son of Shas chairman Aryeh Deri, holds a management position at the World Zionist Organization. A conflict of interest agreement reveals that three of his relatives serve on the organization's executive committee, which oversees his work.
Yanki Deri, the son of Shas chairman Aryeh Deri, manages the department for strengthening ties with communities at the World Zionist Organization (WZO) and joined the KKL board of directors earlier this year. This dual role forced him to sign a conflict of interest agreement, a copy of which was obtained by Calcalist.
The agreement reveals that the younger Deri has three other relatives serving within the national institutions. All three serve on the Executive Committee of the WZO, the supreme decision-making body that sets policy for all national institutions and oversees the activities of the WZO, where Yanki Deri is employed.
The relatives include:

Moshe Ben Naim, son of Hanna Ben Naim (Aryeh Deri's sister), who has served as a senior official in the Shas education network, Ma'ayan HaHinuch HaTorani.

Efrat Cohen, daughter of Yehuda Deri, the Chief Rabbi of Beersheba and brother of Aryeh Deri.

Netanel Peretz, who is also identified as a relative of the Deri family in the agreement.
All three serve on behalf of the World Shas faction on the Executive Committee, with Efrat Cohen and Moshe Ben Naim serving as alternates. Previously, Shlomo Deri, Aryeh Deri's brother, served as co-chairman of KKL and a board member—a position Yanki was slated to take in June before the Shas faction withdrew the nomination.
"This is a one-time assembly for five years, without any salary or benefits," the Deri office stated.
No response was received from the World Zionist Organization or Yanki Deri.
