Just before the first bell of the school year, police officers from the Lachish district raided several parties attended by minors tonight (between Monday and Tuesday) in Kfar Menahem, in an open area near the Negba junction, and in the cities of Ashdod and Ashkelon. The operation was carried out following reports and information received by the police regarding parties held ahead of the return to school.

Youth inspector teams that arrived at the various locations found minors celebrating without proper supervision. In some places, significant quantities of alcohol were found that were accessible to the teenagers, and as part of the operation, the police confiscated bottles and stopped the events.

After dispersing the parties, the police collected testimonies from some of the minors present at the scene and opened an investigation into the circumstances of the events. At the same time, investigative actions were carried out against the parties responsible for the events and the places where they were held.

The owners of the lofts and other parties responsible for the locations were summoned for police questioning. The handling of their cases is expected to continue in the areas of licensing and security, while the police examine the circumstances of the events and the responsibility for the alcohol that was accessible to minors on the eve of the start of the school year.
