Police officers from the Tel Aviv District light rail unit arrested an illegal resident who aroused suspicion at the underground Aharonovich station in Bnei Brak on Monday. The 32-year-old West Bank resident was spotted filming and photographing the location by station security guards, who quickly alerted law enforcement.

Upon arrival, officers began verifying the suspect's identity as he attempted to mislead security forces. He initially provided a false ID number, claiming to be an Israeli citizen from the city of Taibe. However, a thorough on-site check by the police revealed his true identity.

A background check revealed that the individual is a Palestinian residing in Israel illegally and is well-known to security forces. He is suspected of past involvement in terror attacks against Israeli targets and previous security incidents.

The suspect was arrested and transferred for questioning at the Bnei Brak police station. Police are scheduled to bring him before the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court to request an extension of his detention as the investigation continues.
