Following the cancellation of his performances by various municipalities amid a personal scandal and house arrest, Ofek Adanek has decided to launch his own independent concerts. Sources report that the artist's team has received hundreds of requests from fans frustrated by the municipal bans.
Ofek Adanek is working on his first major project since his release from house arrest. According to sources familiar with the details, the plan is to launch independent, ticketed concerts rather than relying on municipal bookings.
The shows are tentatively scheduled for September or October, likely taking place at the Tel Aviv amphitheater. The recent wave of cancellations by various municipalities has sparked significant backlash from his audience.
"The field wants this, and it is happening," sources told Mako, noting that Adanek and his team have received hundreds of requests demanding he open a show.
This momentum is reflected in his recent chart success: this week, Adanek set a personal record on the Hitlist, Israel's official music chart. After not reaching the top earlier this summer, he now holds three spots in the top five: "Eich Shehi Rokedet" at number one, "Yotzet Min Haklal" (with Liad Meir) at number three, and "Kvar Lo Sameach" (with Ofek Chantzis) at number five.
About two weeks ago, Adanek was arrested on suspicion of assaulting his partner, Hadas Masori. He was released from house arrest this past week, and both parties have since been questioned, with a final decision on the case expected in the coming days.
In the meantime, Adanek has already returned to the stage, performing at a hip-hop festival at the Jaffa Port.
"He was full of energy and the happiest in the world to be back performing," said those who attended the event.
