He wrote to his girlfriend: "There is a mess here" — and since then his tracks have disappeared

Eldar Dayan, 22, from Dimona, has been missing since last Friday in Tel Aviv. Police and K9 units are conducting extensive searches in the Yarkon area. Dayan sent a message to his girlfriend before his disappearance: "There is a mess here." Testimonies point to a fight that developed between Dayan and his friends and another group. His family claims that Dayan's friends are providing contradictory versions of the event.

Dayan left with two friends from Dimona towards the center of the country in the afternoon, and since then his tracks have disappeared under circumstances that raise serious concern among his family members. The police published an announcement regarding his disappearance and requested the public's help in finding him.

According to preliminary details, contact with Dayan was cut off after he sent a message to his girlfriend in which he wrote: "There is a mess here, I will talk to you when we arrive." Since then, his phone has been off. An examination of the sequence of events shows that the group stayed at the Bella Hotel in Tel Aviv, and then arrived at the Yarkon Park and Yarkon River area. According to the testimonies collected, a fight developed at the scene with a certain group, following which Dayan and his friends left the area and arrived in the early morning at the nearby Paz gas station.

Contradictory versions at the gas station

At this stage, the descriptions regarding what happened at the gas station remain vague. Some testimonies indicated that Dayan continued on foot in a certain direction while the rest of the group waited at the scene or left by public transport. Other reports suggest there was a flight from the scene following the violent incident in the Yarkon. The police, who arrived at the gas station to check the area, did not find the vehicle mentioned in the early testimonies.

Dayan's family members express deep concern:

"We have not known where he is for a week and a half, and all the friends' versions simply contradict each other," said Hagar, Dayan's aunt. "There is a very great lack of clarity here regarding what happened there at night. We are not getting clear answers."

Dayan's mother arrived especially from Eilat to the Dimona police station to follow the investigation closely. The Dimona police are investigating the circumstances of the disappearance and have launched extensive searches in cooperation with a K9 unit. The public is asked to assist in the searches, and anyone who knows anything about the whereabouts of Eldar Dayan is asked to contact the police 100 hotline or the Dimona police station urgently.
