IDF Soldiers Filmed Boarding Branded Yashar! Party Bus in North
IDF soldiers on the northern border were filmed boarding a branded bus of the Yashar! party, violating military rules against political transport.
IDF soldiers returning from an operational mission on the northern border were filmed boarding a branded bus belonging to the Yashar! party, led by Gadi Eisenkot. The incident violates strict military guidelines prohibiting the transport of soldiers in vehicles bearing political advertisements.
In mid-August, following similar incidents, commanders were explicitly instructed not to allow soldiers to board buses used by politicians or carrying political branding. Following today's footage, the head of the Technological and Logistics Directorate ordered that commanders immediately refuse entry to such vehicles and secure alternative transport.
The IDF Spokesperson's Unit responded that the incident was an isolated failure by an external transport company contracted to serve the military. The IDF demanded that the Ministry of Defense summon the company manager for a disciplinary hearing.
The military reiterated that political propaganda among service members is strictly forbidden. Vehicles carrying political branding are barred from collecting soldiers, even in civilian areas, and are prohibited from entering IDF bases.
