A sudden military drill began this morning (Friday) in the area of the Judea and Samaria Division, as part of the IDF's preparations for the holiday period. As part of the exercise, all battalions in the division were deployed to practice and raise operational readiness.

The exercise is expected to last until the afternoon hours, during which heavy movement of security forces will be felt throughout the sector. The IDF stated that the purpose of the exercise is to examine the level of readiness and operational fitness of the forces and to practice various sudden scenarios ahead of the holidays.

The exercise joins a series of drills conducted in recent weeks as part of the operational preparations in the sector. During these drills, a variety of scenarios were practiced, alongside improving and refining cooperation between IDF forces and other security and rescue forces operating in the area.

The IDF emphasized that this is a planned exercise and that there is no fear of a security incident.
