IDF Strikes Hezbollah Infrastructure in Southern Lebanon
The IDF is conducting intensive artillery and aerial strikes across several areas in southern Lebanon, including Nabatieh. The military remains determined to dismantle remaining Hezbollah terror infrastructure around the Ali Taher ridge, following the elimination of most operatives who had been trapped in these underground networks for weeks. Lebanese media reported additional strikes in the villages of Marjayoun and Mansouri. Following the destruction of these assets, troops are expected to redeploy to defensive lines along the Yellow Line.
Clearing Underground Complexes
Forces from the 36th Division recently completed clearing two major subterranean routes in the area, establishing full operational control above and below ground. According to the IDF, some terrorists were eliminated while others fled.
The operation to neutralize the underground infrastructure cleared of terrorists is ongoing, and upon its completion, the IDF will redeploy for renewed defense.
Iranian Involvement and Strategic Assets
Military engineers discovered subterranean command centers, weapon depots, generator rooms, living quarters, and kitchens designed to sustain operatives for long periods. Prime Minister Биньямин Нетаниягу stated that numerous terrorists were neutralized in the ridge operations. The infrastructure, built over two decades, was funded and planned by the Iranian regime for use by the Badr unit.
Concurrently, Iran warned the United States that it would "respond forcefully" to Israeli operations at the Ali Taher ridge, claiming Iranian military personnel were trapped alongside Hezbollah fighters. The message underscored Tehran's direct involvement in southern Lebanon.
