An IDF drone strike targeted a vehicle in Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip on Sunday morning, according to Palestinian reports. One person was killed and ten others were wounded in the strike.

Arab media outlets reported Saturday that the IDF attempted to eliminate Ali al-Amoudi, considered one of the most senior Hamas figures currently in the Gaza Strip and viewed by many as a potential successor to Yahya Sinwar, the mastermind of the October 7 massacre who was killed during the war.

Al-Amoudi does not hold an official leadership title within Hamas in Gaza, but is competing for the post in internal elections being held by the terror group. Earlier Saturday, Palestinians reported that five people, including four women, were killed in an overnight Israeli airstrike on a building in western Gaza City.
