IDF Brigade Completes Three-Month Security Mission in Southern Syria
IDF 228th Brigade forces completed a three-month mission in the forward security zone in Syria, destroying weapons caches and preventing border threats.
IDF forces from the 228th Brigade, operating under the 210th Division, have completed a three-month deployment in the forward security zone in southern Syria.
During the operation, troops conducted targeted raids, questioned dozens of suspects, detained operatives, and dismantled numerous terror infrastructures and weapon caches, including RPGs, mortars, and Kalashnikov rifles.
The mission aimed to eliminate threats near the border, prevent hostile entities from establishing a presence, and protect communities in the Golan Heights. Following the completion of their fifth reserve duty rotation, the 228th Brigade was relieved by the 2nd Brigade.
The IDF stated that the 210th Division will continue operations in Syria based on ongoing security assessments to safeguard Israeli citizens.
