HydroSight Raises $5 Million for AI-Powered Seabed Mapping Platform
Haifa-based startup HydroSight raised $5 million in a Seed round led by StageOne Ventures to develop its AI platform for automated seabed mapping and analysis.

Haifa-Based Startup Emerges from Stealth
Israeli startup HydroSight, a Haifa-based developer of an AI-powered platform for mapping and analyzing the seabed, has emerged from stealth mode, announcing the completion of a $5 million Seed funding round.
The round was led by StageOne Ventures, with participation from Vertex Ventures and the National Center for Blue Economy, which operates under the investment fund HiCenter Ventures.
HydroSight was founded in late 2025 by Tomer Adler (CEO), Haitham Azzi (CTO), and Chen Megera (COO). The company operates from Haifa and currently employs 5 people.
The three founders possess deep expertise in the marine environment and the challenges of underwater data analysis, drawing from experience gained during their military service as well as civilian work on commercial vessels. Through this experience, they identified a significant gap: while modern sonar systems and advanced survey technologies collect vast amounts of seabed data, translating this data into clear, actionable insights remains a complex, manual, and highly specialized process.
Moving Critical Infrastructure to the Sea
As available land and coastal areas become increasingly limited, critical infrastructure is shifting offshore. Energy projects, communication cables, ports, and other marine facilities are expanding rapidly, making accurate and up-to-date understanding of the seabed essential for planning, development, and operations.
HydroSight’s platform aggregates and analyzes marine survey data, comparing information from different periods and sources. It automatically detects changes, anomalies, and patterns to generate a highly accurate, live map of the seafloor.
By automating processes that previously required hours of manual labor, the platform transforms raw field data into an intelligence layer that can be seamlessly integrated into infrastructure planning, operations, and management.
The Underwater Foundation of Global Economy
CEO Tomer Adler stated:
"Beneath the sea lies a vast world about which we still know very little, even though a significant portion of our lives already depends on it: about 30% of the world's oil and gas is produced at sea, and more than 99% of international data traffic passes through cables laid on its floor. In the coming years, with the transition to clean energy, rising coastal density, and the need for more marine infrastructure, we will depend on this world even more. We founded HydroSight to enable the world to understand what is happening beneath the sea and to develop this environment in a precise, smart, and sustainable way."
