Yoav Horowitz, former chief of staff to the prime minister and co-founder of the "Yashar!" party, revealed during an appearance on Channel 13 that he previously held secret negotiations with Mansour Abbas under instructions from Benjamin Netanyahu.
Secret Talks in Kafr Qasim
Speaking to hosts Shai Golden and Eyal Berkovic, Horowitz shared details about a covert meeting held in February 2019.
I want to reveal to you, in February 2019 in Kafr Qasim, at a friend's house, I as director-general of the Prime Minister's Office met with Mansour Abbas. We conducted negotiations with them. The negotiations did not fail because of Netanyahu, but because of Mansour Abbas, Horowitz stated.
Stance on Ra'am and Future Coalition Guidelines
Addressing public concerns regarding political reliance on the Ra'am party during government formation, Horowitz firmly rejected future partnerships while outlining strict ideological conditions for any potential coalition member.

Meanwhile, the Central Election Committee delivered a dramatic political ruling, approving the disqualification of the Ra'am party led by MK Mansour Abbas from running in the upcoming Knesset elections. The decision passed following a tense debate with an 18-5 vote and one abstention.
