Herzliya: Two buildings demolished as part of a Pinui-Binui project
This is a project on Ahad Ha'Am Street in the city. As part of the initiative, two old 4-story buildings were demolished in preparation for the construction of two new 8-story buildings with 42 housing units above an underground parking lot.
Urban renewal in Herzliya: The Almog Group reports receiving a building permit and starting execution on an urban renewal project on Ahad Ha'Am Street. As part of the initiative, the company demolished two old 4-story buildings and will build two 8-story buildings in their place, including 42 new housing units above a 3-story underground parking lot.
The project, titled TWO IN ONE, was designed by architects Michal Katesh and Orly Kashdai, and offers a mix of apartments including garden apartments, 3–6 room apartments, and penthouses. The project is located in the northern part of Ahad Ha'Am Street in Herzliya Yaruka, near a public park. For the Almog Group, this is the third urban renewal project it is initiating and marketing in Herzliya, following two projects that were completed and occupied at 40 Yigal Alon Street and 22 I.L. Baruch Street in Herzliya Yaruka.
Sheina, a resident of the project who has lived in the building for 25 years, was present at the demolition event:
"This was the first house we bought after we got married, and here we raised our two children, so seeing it being demolished was a very emotional moment for me and I even cried. On the other hand, there is also a feeling of a new beginning. The process took time and not everyone agreed from the start, but in the end, we received very good support and representation and we are satisfied with the process. For us, this is a significant upgrade, from an apartment on the third floor without an elevator to a new, larger apartment with a balcony, a protected room (MAMAD), and an elevator. Especially as you get older, you realize how important these things are. We are still at the beginning of the road, but the knowledge that in about three years we will have a new home, in the same area that we love so much, makes us very happy and excited."
