Hapoel Jerusalem secured a hard-fought away victory against Aris Thessaloniki in the EuroCup, prompting mixed reactions from Aris head coach Vassilis Spanoulis, who pointed to crucial luck in the closing moments. Despite the loss, Spanoulis praised his squad's resilience while noting that injuries heavily impacted their rotation.

"They hit some tough shots, very tough shots, and also shots with some luck in the decisive minutes," Spanoulis said during the post-match press conference. "We didn't execute properly on some plays and allowed too many offensive rebounds. That is the only thing that upsets me." The Greek coach highlighted that missing three primary playmakers and scorers created a significant challenge, though he expressed pride in the players who stepped up.

Obradovic Praises Team Effort and Travelling Fans

On the winning side, Hapoel Jerusalem coach Sasa Obradovic expressed satisfaction with his team's physical approach and overall performance. "I think we deserved to win," Obradovic stated. "It wasn't easy, and maybe not the prettiest game from either team, but it was very physical." He added that the defensive adjustments made in the second half proved vital to securing the win.

Obradovic also emphasized the importance of upcoming roster additions and thanked the supporters who made the trip to Greece. "Everyone contributed and I am proud of that. When Jared Harper returns we will have an extra quality boost, and our game will probably be easier," he noted, while dedicating warm words to the travelling fans who acted as the team's sixth player.
