Racist Abuse Targeted at 10-Year-Old Christian Girl in Haifa WhatsApp Group
A 10-year-old Aramean Christian girl from Haifa faced severe racist abuse and was called a terrorist in a WhatsApp group. Her father serves in the security forces, and she is an honor student who dreams of enlisting in the IDF.

A 10-year-old girl from Haifa, belonging to an Aramean Christian family, became the target of racist abuse in a children's WhatsApp group associated with her extracurricular activity. Among the insults, she was called a "terrorist" and told to "go to Palestine." Her father has served in the security forces for 20 years, and she dreams of enlisting in the IDF and serving in the navy or intelligence.
The incident began when the girl replied with a single word, "correct," to a message sent by another child in the group. Following this, several participants launched a harsh verbal attack, including phrases such as "go die,go to Palestine, you are as much air as Palestine is air," and "what about your readiness for an attack?" alongside the accusation of being a terrorist.
Bullying and Religious Taunts
The harassment did not stop at political insults. According to the mother, the children also mocked her daughter's red hair, used stereotypical names to deride her friends, and targeted Christian religious symbols. They wrote messages such as "go cry to your mother to buy you a cross necklace" and referred to her using names associated with the Muslim community in an attempt to harm the Christian family.
"This is the first time we have encountered such an event," the mother said, noting that only two parents of the involved children apologized. She emphasized that the apologies were not enough to erase the deep humiliation experienced by her daughter, who has never faced discrimination due to her identity or the Christian symbol she wears with pride.
A Family Dedicated to the State
The young girl is an honor student who actively participates in several activities and dreams of a future contributing to the country. Since the October 7 attacks, she has been among the first in her family to organize donations for IDF soldiers, visiting bases and assembly areas across the country to deliver equipment and words of encouragement.
Her father risks his life daily for the security of all Israeli citizens, and she hopes to follow in his footsteps. "We are an Aramean Christian family raising our children with Israeli education, out of love for the country and respect for others," the mother stated. "Children need to grow up knowing that you can be Israeli, love the country, and contribute to it without giving up your religion, identity, or roots."
