Hadera Breaks Ground on First Rehabilitation Day Care Center for Toddlers
Hadera has broken ground on its first rehabilitation day care center for toddlers with special needs. The 18 million shekel project will offer comprehensive educational and therapeutic services locally.
A cornerstone was laid in Hadera for the city's first rehabilitation day care center, a facility designed to provide professional educational, therapeutic, and rehabilitative services for toddlers with special needs. The project, valued at approximately 18 million shekels, is a joint initiative of the Hadera Municipality and the Ministry of Welfare and Social Security.
Project Features and Facilities
The new center will span four specialized classrooms, comprising two multi-disability rooms and two communication-focused rooms. In addition, the building will house professional spaces including a physical therapy room, a sensory room, speech therapy suites, and dedicated offices for a nurse and a dietitian.
Community Impact and Leadership
The construction is managed by the Hadera Development Fund, while equipment procurement is funded by the Shalem Fund. Mayor Nir Ben Haim emphasized the profound social value of the new institution during the festive cornerstone-laying ceremony.
"This is not just a new building, but a vital response for toddlers with disabilities and families who need professional support close to home and within the community," Mayor Nir Ben Haim stated.
