Guy Pines reveals the drama on air: "The screaming I received"
The veteran television host shared a story from his past about the moment he stood on a high bungee crane in Israel, until a surprising and stressful phone call changed his plans at the last second.
The media personality and host of the program 'Good Evening with Guy Pines' has revealed an amusing and previously unknown detail from his past. During tonight's broadcast, the hosts were reminiscing, and Pines shared an event where he was almost part of a particularly challenging stunt, but backed out at the very last moment.
It turns out that many years ago, he was standing at the top of a high bungee crane, ready to jump as part of an experience here in Israel, but an unexpected event changed the entire situation.
During the broadcast, Pines was asked about that unusual experience, and he confirmed that he was indeed present at the location and had climbed to the edge of the crane with the intention of jumping. When asked if he felt fear or cried while at that great height, he explained that what happened was quite different. According to him, while standing at the top with his mobile phone, he suddenly received an incoming call from his mother. This call, arriving at the critical moment before the leap, caused him to change his mind.
Pines described those dramatic moments:
"No, you don't understand what happened. I suddenly get a call. I have my mobile on me. My mother asks: "Where are you?" I tell her, no, I am just about to do... The screaming I received."
This call from his mother, received just as he was on the crane in the air, ultimately led to him abandoning the idea and not performing the planned jump.
