Guy Pines Furious Over Israeli Routine: "You Have Internalized the Abuse"
TV presenter Guy Pines has spoken out against the normalization of security anxiety, the wave of rumors, and the constant expectation of war, sharply criticizing the Israeli public's response to ongoing exhaustion.

Media personality and TV presenter Guy Pines launched an attack over the weekend on the unbearable security reality in Israel, and primarily on the way the general public has become accustomed to living alongside constant anxiety, incessant rumors, and daily security tension.
In a poignant story uploaded to his Instagram account, Pines addressed his followers and attacked the normalization of what he defined as "abuse." He described the surreal daily routine in which everyone checks every day and night whether a war has broken out, follows with trepidation the statements of the 47th US President Donald Trump, and tries to decipher whether planes passing in the sky are American or Israeli, in parallel with the exhausting wave of cancellations by foreign airlines.
Pines touched on a particularly sensitive point when he attacked the "rumor mill" and the gossip that floods networks and mobile devices. He described with great precision the chain of messages that every citizen knows, from alerts from friends and relatives to reports from "someone on the inside" who promises that an escalation will occur on Friday, on Saturday, or perhaps actually on Monday because political moves change at the last minute.
Pines ended his remarks with a poignant statement toward the exhausted Israeli public:
"If it seems to you that this is reasonable, logical, and that you deserve it and 'that's how it is,' then you have internalized this abuse. This is not reasonable by any standard."
He signed off the post with cynicism regarding the uncertainty, writing "wishes" for a good week alongside the reminder that everything will start on Monday, or before that, or not at all.
