Israeli Actor and Flight Instructor Guy Kapulnik Killed in California Crash

Israeli actor, pilot, and flight instructor Guy Kapulnik died at the age of 46 in a light aircraft crash in California over the weekend. Kapulnik, a resident of Karmei Yosef who lived in Los Angeles in recent years, was killed alongside a female passenger.

The accident occurred on Thursday morning in San Bernardino County, California. The single-engine plane crashed in an open area, and both occupants were pronounced dead at the scene. The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are investigating the circumstances of the crash.

Kapulnik is survived by his parents, a brother, and a sister. A graduate of the Nissan Nativ Acting Studio in Jerusalem and a holder of a degree in information systems from the Technion, he previously served as an officer in the elite IDF Search and Rescue Unit 669 before pursuing acting.

In Israel, he appeared in films such as 'Room 514', 'Salsa Tel Aviv', 'Keep Me', and 'Lebanon', as well as in theater productions. After relocating to the United States, he continued his acting career while channeling his passion into aviation, ultimately becoming a certified flight instructor.
