Criminal Wars Continue: Grenade Thrown at Business in Herzliya

The police began this morning (Wednesday) an investigation into an incident of suspected throwing of an explosive item in Herzliya, after a report was received overnight at the police hotline regarding the sound of an explosion near a business in the city, with no damage and no casualties.
Officers from the Glilot station in the Yarkon district and Tel Aviv district sappers arrived at the scene and began investigative actions and the collection of findings. According to the suspicion, it is a stun grenade and the background is criminal.
At the beginning of the week, a stun grenade exploded near a residential building in the Tzameret neighborhood in northern Tel Aviv, and the police opened an investigation. Officers from the Lev Tel Aviv station and Tel Aviv district sappers arrived at the scene for investigative actions and the collection of findings. There was no damage or casualties, the background is criminal.
The war between criminal organizations has escalated in recent weeks, with a wave of grenade throwing, shooting, and arson — in many cases at branches of the "Japanika" chain. The police suspect that all the incidents are related to the struggle between the Musli and Jarushi crime families, and there is a suspicion of an attempt to harm the restaurant chain owned by businessman Barak Abramov.
The crime wave began after the arrest of the head of the crime organization Yossi Musli about two weeks ago, who is suspected of involvement in the "grenade war" as part of the financial conflict with the Jarushi organization.
The police managed to form a solid evidentiary basis against those involved in two incidents out of 18 cases of grenade throwing and shooting at businesses that occurred as part of the violent conflict, and on Channel 13 news it was reported on Saturday night that indictments are expected to be filed against the suspects as early as this week.
As part of the investigation, the police carried out a series of arrests of suspects involved in the series of incidents. The investigation reveals that eight out of the 18 attacks in the "grenade war" were directed at branches of the "Japanika" restaurant chain of businessman Barak Abramov in Kiryat Ono and Givatayim, as well as other businesses in the Sharon region.
