How to Use Google Maps to Find Your Parked Car Automatically
Google Maps provides manual and automatic parking location saving features for drivers. iPhone users can benefit from automatic Bluetooth disconnection detection.

Finding a parked car in a massive underground parking lot is a common challenge for drivers. Google Maps offers built-in features to save parking locations manually or automatically, eliminating the hassle of searching through endless rows of vehicles.
Manual saving requires just a few taps. Open Google Maps, tap the blue dot representing your current position, and select save parking location. Users can add precise notes, such as floor level and pillar identifiers, or attach a photo of the nearby signage for quick reference.
For iPhone users, Google Maps introduced automated parking detection. When the phone disconnects from a vehicle's Bluetooth, CarPlay, or USB connection, the app automatically drops a pin labeled "You parked here". Drivers without in-car connectivity can enable motion sensor detection within the navigation settings.
Because GPS signals are typically weak in underground structures, combining digital markers with a quick photo of the parking level sign ensures seamless vehicle retrieval. Saved locations remain active for 48 hours or until the next trip begins.
