Leader of the Democrats party Yair Golan met on Thursday with Yaros Zelecha, the sister of the late Yimno Zelecha, who was tragically murdered on Independence Day Eve after asking a group of teenagers to stop spraying snow foam. Golan posted on X expressing deep appreciation for the family's social activism.

"From the terrible pain that befell the family, Yaros chose to rise and fight for justice and security," Golan wrote, praising the establishment of the "WeAhavta Kmo Yimno" movement, which works to eradicate violence and educate youth in tolerance. "She operates so that other families will not have to go through the tragedy she experienced. Yaros's strength and determination are an inspiration."

During the meeting, Golan promised to act decisively to improve personal safety on the streets. "I pledged to her that the Democrats party will work to restore security to the streets," the party chairman clarified, adding that his party will promote a zero-tolerance policy toward violence alongside a comprehensive youth treatment program.

According to Golan, addressing youth violence must combine education, prevention, treatment, and enforcement. He concluded his post with a moving message of mutual responsibility and hope, writing that "the pain of one family can become a rectification for an entire society."
