The Democrats Leader Yair Golan Slams Eisenkot's Big Party Strategy
The Democrats leader Yair Golan criticized MK Gadi Eisenkot's "big party" campaign as a dangerous lie, warning it threatens center-left bloc stability ahead of elections.

The Democrats leader Yair Golan launched a scathing critique against MK Gadi Eisenkot's electoral strategy, denouncing the "big party" campaign as a dangerous falsehood that threatens the center-left bloc.
In a post published on his official X account, Golan addressed his supporters directly, criticizing the strategy pursued by his political ally. "Gadi Eisenkot, my friend, is a worthy leader, but the truth must be told now: the big party campaign is a mistake. It is a dangerous lie. This is a campaign designed to weaken us, the Democrats, the people who fought here for four years and the public that took to the streets to defend democracy," Golan wrote.
Warning Over Bloc Stability and Past Defeats
Golan warned that weakening the Democratic party would ultimately undermine the entire political bloc, rendering it fragile at crucial moments. He recalled previous election cycles, noting that similar strategies led to defeats when a single party chased size at the expense of its natural allies. "To form a government, you need a bloc majority, and to lead real change, you need a backbone," Golan stated.
Meanwhile, Eisenkot defended his approach during a recent public address, asserting that his party, Yashar!, must surpass Likud by a significant margin to force political change. "Netanyahu wants a tie, which is the only way he can claim he should remain in office. If Yashar! is not significantly larger than Likud, there will be no change," Eisenkot declared.
