Benny Gantz, leader of the National Unity party, sharply criticized the political establishment from both sides of the political map, warning that ongoing factional infighting could lead Israel to a "disaster." In his remarks, Gantz clarified that he has no intention of dropping out of the race and will continue running until the upcoming Knesset elections.

Warning Against Political Division

"We are heading toward a disaster. We must stop and save the state," Gantz stated. "Politicians from both blocs oppose the unity that I am promoting with all my heart; they want a decisive outcome. The rift serves them politically." According to Gantz, continued political fragmentation will lead to endless election cycles and narrow governments that will tear the country apart from within.

"We are heading toward a disaster. We must stop and save the state," Gantz stated during his press address.

Independent Run and Unity Campaign

Addressing claims that an independent run by his party could siphon votes away from the anti-Netanyahu bloc, Gantz firmly rejected the criticism. "I do not belong to any bloc," he said. "Anyone claiming that I am burning votes is lying and afraid. Whoever votes for me is voting for unity, not for blocs."

Simultaneously, the party is launching a new election campaign under the slogan "Choosing unity, saving the state." The campaign aims to place the concept of a unity government at the center of the political discourse ahead of the 26th Knesset elections scheduled for October 27, 2026.
