Benny Gantz Reveals Likud Offered Him a Top Spot
In a candid interview on Kan 11, Blue and White leader Benny Gantz dropped a political bombshell. Speaking with Roni Kuban, Gantz revealed that he received an offer to secure a very high slot on the Likud party list for the upcoming Knesset elections.
Despite his party struggling in recent polls below the electoral threshold, Gantz rejected the offer, emphasizing his commitment to national unity over personal political survival.
"I was offered a very high place in Likud... but I have a path. I am not looking for a solution for my political backside," Gantz stated during the interview.
Addressing Past Alliances and Future Plans
Gantz also clarified that other political figures, including Naftali Bennett, Yair Lapid, Gadi Eisenkot, and Avigdor Lieberman, did not offer him a spot on their lists. He insisted that he remains in the race to provide a responsible path, addressing his past political splits and personal challenges, including his wife's battle with Alzheimer's.
