Poll: Half of French Muslims Would Consider Leaving if Le Pen Wins in 2027
A new Ifop poll reveals that 46 percent of Muslims in France would consider leaving the country if Marine Le Pen wins the 2027 presidential election, highlighting deep societal tensions.
Almost half of Muslims in France say they would consider leaving the country if Marine Le Pen and the National Rally come to power in the 2027 presidential election, according to a new Ifop poll published in the French magazine Marianne.
According to the survey, 46% of Muslim respondents said they would consider leaving France following a Le Pen victory, compared to 21% of the general French public.
The extensive survey was conducted among 9,689 people aged 18 and over, representing the adult population in France, via an online questionnaire between September 25 and 30.
The data indicates deep concern within the Muslim community. Eighty-one percent of Muslims surveyed estimate that a Le Pen victory would lead to an increase in attacks and discrimination against Muslims, while 44% of French Jews said they would also consider leaving.
