Two Foreign BDS Activists Arrested in West Bank for Provoking Unrest
Two foreign nationals suspected of supporting terrorist groups and the BDS movement were arrested in the West Bank on Thursday during the olive harvest.
Two foreign nationals linked by police to terrorist organizations and the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement were arrested in the West Bank on Thursday. The suspects allegedly arrived at olive harvest locations to incite provocations, instigate friction, and lead public disturbances.
The arrests followed intelligence work by the Judea and Samaria District police foreign desk, which indicated the activists intended to manufacture field confrontations, document them, and promote anti-Israel media campaigns globally. According to police, the two expressed support for terrorist organizations, portrayed them as legitimate bodies, and made statements calling for the destruction of Israel.
IDF forces from the Binyamin Brigade detained the pair upon their arrival at harvest sites in the Samaria sector. They were transferred for interrogation at the Judea and Samaria District joint command, after which authorities forwarded the case files to the Population and Immigration Authority for a deportation hearing.
Police emphasized that the operation is part of a joint effort with the IDF and law enforcement agencies to prevent friction and public disorder across Judea and Samaria, with a strong focus on the olive harvest season. Law enforcement officials warned that foreign agitators seeking to provoke clashes endanger public safety and damage international perceptions of Israel.
