Passengers from a harrowing Flydubai flight to Tel Aviv are organizing massive multi-million dollar lawsuits against the airline and the State of Israel following a mid-air hijacking attempt.
Passengers from the harrowing Flydubai flight to Tel Aviv are organizing massive multi-million dollar lawsuits against the airline, the State of Israel, and other entities. Sources indicate that passengers have appointed a steering committee to manage interactions with authorities.
Leadership and Organization
The committee is headed by Tzvika Mens, CEO of Barak Capital Underwriting, who was involved in subduing the rogue pilot. Other members include Tal Eisenberg, an attorney residing in Singapore, along with Daniel Schlittner, Itai Perlman, and Shir Maor, all passengers on the Flydubai flight.
"We are determined to pursue full accountability and justice for everyone on board through comprehensive legal channels," committee representatives noted.
Legal Strategy and International Scope
Approximately 100 out of the 174 passengers have signed power-of-attorney documents authorizing the committee to represent them, while others are still deciding whether to join or act independently. The lawsuits are expected to target the Israeli Ministry of Transportation, potentially the Emirati ministry, and analogous agencies in other countries, as the passengers include non-Israeli citizens.
