Passengers planning to fly with flydubai in the near future will need to change their plans: the airline will not operate flights to Israel until October 30. Customers who have already booked seats on the company's flights have begun receiving notices that their purchased tickets have been cancelled.

The impact is felt particularly strongly on the route between Israel and Dubai. flydubai's direct flights are currently unavailable, and at the same time, Israeli airlines are not permitted to land in Dubai due to security restrictions. The combination of the two severely limits options for Israelis wishing to reach the city.

Those who still need to get to Dubai can do so via Abu Dhabi. Etihad continues to offer flights to the destination, from which travelers can proceed to Dubai by land. The distance between Abu Dhabi and Dubai is about an hour's drive, depending on road conditions.

This solution provides access to the region, but does not fully replace the direct route: passengers land in another emirate and are required to complete the journey to Dubai by road. Currently, alongside the extended cancellation date, there is no known resumption date for flydubai at Ben Gurion Airport.
