An American woman was left paralyzed from the waist down after a man fell from a tree and landed on her during a music festival in Louisville, Kentucky. The tragic incident occurred during a performance by the hardcore punk band Knocked Loose at the Louder Than Life festival.

Jamie Olshofer and her husband, Connor, were standing near the back of the Impact stage area when the accident happened. According to reports, a man who had climbed one of the nearby trees plunged onto her after a branch snapped. Olshofer was rushed to UofL Hospital, where she remains hospitalized in the intensive care unit suffering from a severed spinal cord.

I can't feel my feet. I can't do anything that I used to do, Olshofer said, speaking from the hospital. I won't be able to play with children.

Her husband recalled the terrifying moments immediately following the impact. They were positioned in the rear right corner near a cluster of trees when he suddenly turned around to find his wife flat on her back as onlookers shouted about a man falling from above.

Louisville police announced that no criminal investigation would be launched, classifying the tragic occurrence as a civil matter. Meanwhile, festival organizers Danny Wimmer Presents declined to comment on specific medical incidents, citing patient privacy concerns.
