Rad Bynet and ISEF Launch Initiative for Female Combat Soldiers in Tech
A new initiative by the Rad Bynet Group and the ISEF Foundation invests 330,000 shekels to support discharged female combat soldiers pursuing degrees in science, medicine, and high-tech professions.
Many female combat soldiers complete their military service equipped with leadership, accountability, and decision-making skills, yet face financial and academic barriers in entering engineering, science, and medicine. A new collaboration between the Rad Bynet Group, led by Prof. Nava Zisapel, and the ISEF Foundation, named "Pathbreaking Female Combat Soldiers in Science, Medicine, and Technology," aims to transform this reality.
Investing in the Next Generation of Women in Tech
Under this initiative, 330,000 shekels will be invested to support an initial cohort of ten discharged female combat soldiers from units such as Caracal, MAGAL, combat intelligence, and the Home Front Command. The program offers comprehensive support including scholarships, living stipends, academic tutoring, personal mentoring, leadership training, and direct connection to the Israeli tech ecosystem.
"Israel cannot afford to lose the next generation of female scientists, physicians, and engineers simply because of their starting point," stated Galit Caspi Cohen, CEO of the ISEF Foundation.
Bridging Military Service and Industry
Participants will engage with industry leaders, tour high-tech companies, receive resume-building assistance, and undergo job interview simulations. Named in memory of Prof. Zisapel's mother, Genia Perlmutter, the program continues the educational legacy of Yehuda and Zohar Zisapel, pioneers of Israel's high-tech industry.
