Eyal Berkovic surprises Eli Ohana: "I brought gifts for this Bibist"
After reports of Benjamin Netanyahu's intention to reserve a spot for Eli Ohana on the Likud list, Eyal Berkovic arrived at the 103FM studio with an unexpected surprise, which led to an extraordinary emotional moment and tears in the studio.
Israeli politics is shifting gears ahead of the upcoming elections, and with it comes the familiar ritual of the election season: the reserved spots. Party leaders have already pulled out their drafting pads, and the name exchange is heating up.
One of the most intriguing moves of recent times came from the Likud party, after it became known that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is considering reserving a spot for former footballer, media personality, and panelist of the program "Ofira, Ohana, Sari," Eli Ohana.
Later, Ohana addressed the issue and claimed that no one had actually approached him and that he was surprised by the reports. He noted that if he were to receive such an offer, he already knows what his answer would be, but he chose not to say it now.
Meanwhile, this morning (Sunday), Ohana's colleague, former footballer and current media personality Eyal Berkovic, brought Eli Ohana a gift to the workplace. In a video uploaded to the 103FM social networks, the background text read: "The moving surprise that Berko made for Ohana."
In the video itself, Berkovic is seen entering the radio offices with a big fan of Ohana named Avi, who looks very excited, as Berko says: "I need to bring gifts to this Bibist Eli Ohana."
Berko searched for Ohana in the hallways and asked: "Is the Bibist Eli Ohana here?", and when he met him, he said: "I brought you a gift for your joining the democrats in Likud." Berko introduced him and said: "This is your fan number 1. He made you a surprise."
That fan hugged Ohana and did not hide his excitement as he burst into tears and even showed him a huge tattoo of Eli that he had done on his back. Ohana, for his part, replied:
"Don't get excited, my brother. Why are you getting excited, enough. Khalas. We are ordinary people, we brush our teeth in the morning, we go to the bathroom. Believe me."
