Two Indicted in Central Israel for Extortion and Shooting at Business
Central District prosecutors indicted two men from Tira and Ramla for extortion and shooting at a clothing store following a dispute, demanding hundreds of thousands of shekels.

The Central District Prosecutor's Office has filed indictments against 21-year-old Muhammad Naser from Tira and 29-year-old Ibrahim Abu Ghanem from Ramla, charging them with extortion and shooting at a business.
According to the investigation, the suspects demanded hundreds of thousands of shekels from a local barbershop owner and his brother, and fired at their family clothing store following an earlier dispute.
The case began in July when Naser demanded 5,000 dollars from the barbershop owner to operate his business. After the owner blocked his number following threats, a street altercation occurred in which the victim slapped Naser. In retaliation, Naser enlisted Abu Ghanem to open fire on the clothing store for 20,000 shekels, later raising the extortion demand to half a million shekels.
Police gathered extensive evidence, including 78 phone calls between the suspects on the night of the shooting and video footage found on Naser's phone. Prosecutors have requested that both suspects be held in custody until the end of legal proceedings.
