Explosion at Neot Hovav Factory: Work Area Closed, 3 Workers Injured

Three workers were injured in moderate to serious condition following an explosion of defense-related waste at the Ecosol factory in Neot Hovav, the Ministry of Labor reported. Following the incident, inspectors from the Safety Administration arrived at the scene and immediately closed the work area at the factory.

A team of inspectors from the Safety Administration also arrived at a factory in the north, which served as the source of the material supply. During the inspection, failures were identified at the site, and as a result, the work area at this factory was also closed.

The Ministry of Labor stated that an investigation into the incident is being conducted in cooperation with security agencies. Hezi Shwartzman, head of the Safety Administration at the Ministry of Labor, said:

"This is a case of negligence that will be investigated to the fullest. The Safety Administration has instructed the factory to draw immediate lessons, and we will exhaust all procedures with them as required. All factories must internalize that the safety of workers is above all."
