European Investment in Israeli High-Tech Hits Record $4.33 Billion in H1 2026
IVC data shows European investment in Israeli high-tech reached $4.33 billion in H1 2026 across 66 rounds, with German and Swiss corporations leading major acquisitions.

Data from research firm IVC ahead of the Europe Days 2026 conference in Tel Aviv indicates a significant deepening of European capital and corporate activity in Israeli high-tech. In the first half of 2026, 105 European investors participated in 66 funding rounds, totaling $4.33 billion. The average round value reached $65.6 million, an unprecedented record.
Direct Investments and M&A Growth
European activity is also evident in direct investments. In 2025, direct European investments rose by about 20%, totaling $1.404 billion, compared to $1.169 billion in 2024. This marks the first year of growth in this sector since 2021.
The exit market for European acquirers also showed a significant surge, from $361 million in 2020 to $5.155 billion in 2025. The trend continues this year, with nine additional acquisitions completed between January and August.
German and Swiss Leadership
German capital leads corporate acquisition activity. Seventeen investors from Germany were involved in 14 deals this year. Munich Re became the largest European acquirer this year after purchasing At-Bay in August for $575 million, bringing its cumulative acquisitions in Israel to $3.175 billion. Concurrently, SAP acquired WalkMe for $1.5 billion.
Investors from Switzerland also remain active. Eight investors from the country carried out nine deals this year, focusing on earlier stages with a median investment of $20 million. This was accompanied by a significant sector exit following Roche's acquisition of 89bio for $2.4 billion.
"The aggregate picture points to the growing establishment of Europe as a strategic financial partner for Israeli high-tech. The data reflects a trend of integrating Israeli technologies as part of a long-term industrial need, which is evident in acquisitions in cyber and DefenseTech, digital health, digitization, enterprise software, and fintech..." said Gili Cegla, founder and CEO of Novawind and founder of the Europe Days conference.

The Europe Days 2026 conference will be held on October 20 in Tel Aviv, featuring more than 30 representatives from European regions, cities, venture capital funds, and corporations. Participants will include executives from Airbus, OBI, Charité Hospital, and funds Planet A and Planven.
