Eurohoops published the first part of its annual EuroLeague top 50 players ranking for the 2026/27 season, highlighting major surprises and shifts across the continent. The rankings are formulated based on individual performance, team impact, and expectations for the upcoming campaign.
Major Surprises in the Rankings
The biggest shock of the release was the dramatic drop of Vasilije Micić, who plummeted to 41st place after ranking 11th exactly a year ago. Several notable players sit ahead of him, including Armoni Brooks, Jared Butler, Branko Badio, Tyrese Martin, and Cameron Taylor.
Representation of Israeli Clubs
Hapoel Tel Aviv placed multiple players in the 50-21 bracket, with Zach LeDay securing 37th place and Oturu coming in at 25th alongside Vasilije Micić at 41st. Meanwhile, Maccabi Tel Aviv is represented by Jaylen Hoard, who was slotted in at the 43rd position.
