One of the greatest Israeli football players of all time, Eran Zahavi, reveals this evening (Thursday) in a candid interview with Omri Asenheim on Reshet 13 (at 21:15) the heavy mental and financial price caused to his family and property during the violent robbery they experienced at their home in the Netherlands.

During the interview, Zahavi recounted the events of that difficult evening during the period when he played for the club PSV Eindhoven, addressed the property and sums of money stolen from his home, and the feelings that accompanied him in the time that followed.

According to the details revealed, the robbers who entered the house arrived with a specific target. "They said to her 'Where is the safe?', they thought there was a safe, 'Where is the watch?'. They came for a specific watch," Zahavi described the intruders' demands.

Zahavi did not hide his anger over the harm to his family and the theft of property, noting that the burglars took with them luxury items of immense value. "For what? For a few watches and jewelry? And how many tens, hundreds of thousands? He does not deserve to live on this planet," he said with determination, adding that out of rage he was ready to "sit in prison even for the rest of my life."

Beyond the financial blow and the theft of expensive jewelry and watches, according to Zahavi, the incident left a severe trauma that accompanied the family for many years even after they returned to Israel.
