Transported to the hospital with head and abdominal injuries
At 20:29, a report was received at the MDA 101 emergency center in the Ayalon region regarding an electric scooter rider who fell while riding on Derech HaYam Street in Rehovot. MDA medics and paramedics arrived quickly at the scene, provided the rider with initial medical treatment, and transported him to Kaplan Hospital in moderate condition, suffering from head and abdominal injuries. At this stage, no further details have been provided regarding the circumstances of the fall, and it is unknown if other vehicles were involved in the incident.
Scooter accidents continue to cause concern
In recent years, safety and medical experts have warned about the rise in the number of casualties in accidents involving electric scooters. Among the common injuries are head trauma, limb fractures, and injuries to the chest and abdominal area — mainly in cases of slipping, loss of control, or collision. Rescue organizations reiterate that wearing a helmet, riding at a speed adapted to road conditions, obeying traffic laws, and avoiding the use of a mobile phone while riding can reduce the risk of serious injury in the event of an accident.
