Activists in Russia claim that Artem Kirpichenok, a Russian historian holding Israeli citizenship, disappeared last week after landing in Israel. Through social media posts, activists are urging anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to assist in locating him.

According to his friends, Kirpichenok arrived in Israel last week on a flight from Yerevan to attend an event to which he had been invited. However, he failed to make contact after landing, and his tracks have since disappeared. Kirpichenok (51) was born in Saint Petersburg and immigrated to Israel in the 1990s. He graduated from the Hebrew University and returned to live in Russia about 15 years later. He has adopted a highly critical stance toward the State of Israel, frequently writing against the state and Zionism.

The Russian Embassy in Israel informed Russian Telegram channels that it has contacted Israeli authorities regarding the alleged disappearance of Kirpichenok but has yet to receive a response on the matter.
