She stopped looking for a man to take care of her — and claims it made her a "10 out of 10"
Hunter Vaughn, a 28-year-old influencer, says she moved away from her previous views and started dating ambitious and disciplined men. According to her, the change caused her to invest in herself, gain confidence, and completely change her approach to relationships.
Hunter Vaughn, a 28-year-old influencer from Massachusetts, claims she has undergone a real transformation — and not just in appearance. According to her, the change began precisely when she moved away from the feminist views she held as a teenager and began to be attracted to men she defines as masculine, ambitious, and disciplined, who invest in themselves and their goals.
"I went from an 'average girl' to a '10 out of 10'," Vaughn told the "Mirror".
According to her, she has become healthier, happier, and above all, much more confident in herself. However, she claims the change did not come just from choosing clothes, grooming, or external appearance — but from the people she chose to surround herself with.
Vaughn says the men she was attracted to were constantly engaged in self-improvement. They had goals, ambitions, and discipline, and she felt that this approach was starting to rub off on her as well. Instead of looking for a partner to "take care of her", she began to ask what she herself brings to the relationship.
According to her, her mother actually encouraged her in the past to find a man who could provide for and take care of her, but that advice never suited her. Vaughn says she did not want to replicate the relationship model she saw, and decided to choose a different path: if she is looking for a man she defines as "high value", she wants to become a "high value" woman herself. From her perspective, both partners need to work on themselves — and simultaneously on the relationship.
And this, she emphasizes, does not mean that every couple must have the same model. From her perspective, a relationship where both partners work and provide can work, and so can a more traditional relationship, where one works and the other takes care of the home and children. The condition from her perspective is simple: both sides need to contribute something significant to the relationship — financially, emotionally, or in managing the home. Otherwise, according to her, frustration and anger may accumulate.
Ultimately, Vaughn says her biggest transformation was not external at all. "It completely changed my way of thinking," she said. Today, according to her, she takes better care of herself, feels more confident and happier with who she is — and above all, believes that people who strive to improve can also push those around them to do the same.
