Elisaf Peretz, son of Miriam Peretz and a candidate for the "Yashar!" party led by Gadi Eisenkot, has issued a statement on Facebook addressing the potential structure of a future coalition, distancing himself from any partnership with Haredi or Arab parties while affirming complete loyalty to his party leader.

Ahead of his expected swearing-in to the Knesset next week, Peretz reflected on his comrades in the 9th Brigade currently serving another round of reserve duty in Lebanon after more than 500 days of service. He emphasized that active-duty soldiers and reservists must remain the ultimate priority in every government decision.

Eisenkot's Principles and Defection Denied

Responding to social media comments, Peretz reiterated the four foundational principles outlined by Gadi Eisenkot for any future coalition partnership, which include recognition of Israel as a Jewish and democratic state, commitment to the Declaration of Independence, universal service, and the definition of Hamas as a terrorist organization that must be dismantled.

Peretz stated that no current Arab party meets these strict criteria, dismissing alternative reports as irrelevant. Reaffirming his absolute trust in Gadi Eisenkot, Peretz rejected outright any speculation regarding potential political defection, declaring that the word does not exist in his lexicon.
