Eli Ohana and his wife arrived at the Rabbinate: "Not everyone enjoys it"
Adi Ohana shared in a podcast the story of her secret and modest wedding to football legend Eli Ohana at the Givatayim Rabbinate, noting that they arrived in pajamas and that her family was surprised by the unconventional look.
Adi, the wife of media personality and Beitar Jerusalem legend Eli Ohana, revealed unusual details about their marriage, sharing in the podcast "You Don't Choose Family" by Adv. Liat Shklarz the story of their modest and secret wedding.
Adi, who starred alongside Ohana in the program "MKR The Winning Kitchen" on Keshet 12, explained that the couple chose to forgo a large wedding in favor of an intimate ceremony at the Givatayim Rabbinate. According to her, if it had been up to her husband, the wedding might not have taken place at all.
"I married Eli when I was 35, when Mika was 3. That's when I understood that he was right for me, he had been through everything. Eli, in general, if it had been up to him, we wouldn't have gotten married," Adi said.
The wedding took place early in the morning in an atmosphere completely different from the flashy events associated with the world of football and entertainment. "We got married with a rabbi and everything at 10 in the morning at the Rabbinate in Givatayim in pajamas," she said.
Adi added that her attire on the wedding day was also completely improvised. "Keren, my friend, is a clothing designer, so I told her 'Tomorrow I'm getting married, I don't have a veil!', so she brought me something like a costume piece and I put it on with a clip."
According to her, the decision not to hold a big wedding came after she had been exposed over the years to dozens of flashy events of football players and public figures. "I had been to so many such events and I said to myself that people come and not everyone enjoys it, so why do they do it?" she said.
Adi mentioned that her family members were surprised by the unusual look. "They didn't understand what they were seeing; my grandmother came to me and said, 'Wow, Adi, what is this? Where is the dress? An outfit, something, why with pajamas?'".
In the end, it was precisely the unusual choice that made the moment unforgettable. "Which dress will you remember?" she asked her grandmother, who determined: "To tell you the truth, only yours."
