The Israel Electric Corporation issued a warning today, Friday, regarding a fraud attempt conducted via text messages.

The company noted that it has received numerous inquiries from customers reporting SMS messages impersonating the Israel Electric Corporation. These messages claim that the recipient is entitled to a monetary refund and provide a link to an external website to claim the funds.

The Israel Electric Corporation clarifies that this is a phishing attempt and urges the public not to click on the attached links, nor to provide personal details, passwords, or credit card information.

Official communications from the Israel Electric Corporation always include the customer's identifying details and are sent exclusively through the company's verified channels. In case of doubt, customers are advised to contact the service center at 103 or use the company's official service platforms.

The company further stated that the incident has been reported to the relevant authorities, who are currently working to resolve the issue.
