Elbit Systems Sweden to Open First European Laser Warning Systems Center
Elbit Systems Sweden announced plans to build Europe's first production and maintenance center for Laser Warning Systems by 2027, bolstering NATO defense capabilities.

Elbit Systems Sweden announced on Wednesday its intention to establish the company's first European production and maintenance center for Laser Warning Systems. The facility, slated to begin operations in 2027, will support local integration, assembly, maintenance, and lifecycle support for European clients.
Expanding Industrial Footprint in Europe
The initiative reflects Elbit Systems' long-term strategy to expand its industrial footprint and strengthen local technological and manufacturing capabilities across Europe. The company stated that establishing local production will contribute to higher availability, shorter delivery times, and enhanced support for European customers and NATO allies.
"The move aligns with our core technologies and allows us to expand our fields of activity in the future," said Tobias Wennberg, CEO of Elbit Systems Sweden.
Advanced Self-Protection Technologies
The new facility will manufacture next-generation passive laser warning systems designed to instantly detect and locate laser threats, providing operators with maximum response time and operational flexibility. Founded in 2020, Elbit Systems Sweden currently employs over 100 people across the country, serving as a regional hub for Northern Europe.
