El Al Launches Special Flight Discounts for FLY Card Holders
El Al launches a special discount promotion for FLY CARD holders, offering reduced rates and Cash & Points redemptions for flights through October 2026 amid intense credit card market competition.
El Al's frequent flyer club has launched a special promotion, inviting FLY CARD credit card holders to enjoy attractive discounts on flight ticket purchases. As part of the campaign, club members can redeem points using the Cash & Points option on the El Al website and app, significantly reducing flight prices to a wide variety of global destinations.
The promotion, which runs from Monday through Thursday, October 12-16, 2026, applies to economy class bookings for upcoming departures through October 31, 2026. Participating destinations include major cities in the US and Europe such as Miami, Boston, Athens, Rome, Paris, London, Amsterdam, Madrid, Zurich, and more.
Sun Dour and Credit Card Transition
Additionally, the promotion covers destinations served by the subsidiary airline Sun Dour, including Cagliari, Catania, Naples, Verona, Basel, Heraklion, Larnaca, Paphos, Rhodes, Warsaw, Tirana, and Chisinau. To redeem the benefit, members must log in on the website or app and select the desired number of points using the points slider.
El Al's frequent flyer club also reminds holders of older FLY CARDs issued by CAL that they must complete their transition to the new card issued by Isracard by the end of 2026. Customers who fail to make the switch by this deadline will lose their eligibility for club benefits, including the point and diamond accumulation mechanism.
"The transition comes at the peak of a dramatic period in the Israeli credit card market, following El Al's decision to end its historical partnership with CAL and move to an exclusive partnership with Isracard."
The Battle for Loyalty Programs
The call for card replacements comes amid intense competition in the Israeli financial sector. CAL is fighting to retain its customers with alternative cards and competing aviation benefits, while El Al and Isracard offer aggressive migration incentives.
Established in 1984, the El Al frequent flyer club is considered one of Israel's strongest and most profitable customer loyalty programs, boasting over 2.5 million members. The club grants members points accumulation on flights and credit purchases, priority waitlist status, class upgrades, access to King David lounges, and extra baggage allowances, making the FLY CARD one of the most sought-after financial products on the market.
